Walking around the streets of NY and seeing so many Jewish people, teens especially, was definitely a highlight of mine because you don’t get to see that in San Antonio. Everyone was constantly saying “good Shabbos” and “Shabbat Shalom” as well as singing out songs at the top of our lungs and everyone would sing along.  I felt a lot of pride being in the subway, where each subway train was filled with CTeeners and we could barely even move. The subway is always packed, but never like this. The amount of Jewish pride and happiness I felt at the Shabbaton was uncomfortable to anything I had ever experienced. I can’t wait to experience it again this year!
