All About Tzniut

Tzniut, or modesty is one of the principles of judaism and it applies to both men and women. It is very easy to think that the main way that one can be modest is through the way we dress , but Tzniut is much more than that. It also includes the way we act, from the way we talk to the way we walk down the street. It might sound complicated, but there are many ways in which we can be modest. There are a few main points of the principles of Tzniut that might help understand the whole point of this beautiful Mitzvah!
The main point of Tzniut is dressing in a way that does not attract a lot of attention to our bodies, that way we can show our true self, and what really matters which is our essence. Tzniut gives us the possibility of letting our inner self shine!
When it comes to our behavior our role as a Jew is to be an example for others. By showing our good values and acting modestly by controlling the way we act, speak, and dress we can illuminate the world. Today, we live in an era of communication, so we should always try to be careful with the message we would like to give others. By talking in a modest manner it is much easier to control the messages we are trying to transmit.
In conclusion, there are many ways in which can apply modesty in our lives which not only change the way that others see us as a person, but they also change the way we see ourselves as Jews. By bringing some Tzniut into our daily lives we can show the world that we are Jewish and we are proud of it!
